What's the best ballet company to see in the Twin Cities?

Which is the national/international company? Here are the ones I know: James Sewell Ballet, Ballet Minnesota, Minnesota Dance Theatre, the Metropolitan Ballet, and the Saint Paul City Ballet. (I just watched St. Paul City Ballet tonight and they're not so good. I think they're just a regional company.)

Well, the James Sewell Ballet is the one with the largest national and international performing history, but since it's a small, contemporary ballet company, it may not be what you mean by that term. Otherwise, the Minnesota Dance Theatre seems to be your area's main professional, and primarily classical, ballet company. It's the one with a large Nutcracker production. As for the Metropolitan Ballet, it appears that it is not a resident company, but one that borrows professional dancers from elsewhere. Ballet Minnesota looks to be another regional company.
